Peru: Civil society platform publishes report on business and human rights in times of the pandemic

A report that shows various human rights violations by companies in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in Peru was presented this week by civil society organisations grouped in the Platform on Business and Human Rights, part of the National Coordinator of Human Rights in the country. The report was sent to the Presidency of the Republic, to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as well as to the Ministries of Justice, Health, Labour, Agriculture and Energy and Mines, so that the authorities can take knowledge and action against the complaints filed. [Refers to Consorcio Minero Horizonte, Marcobre, Shougang, Antamina (part of BHP, Glencore, Teck Resources, Mitsubishi Corporation), Anglo American and Chinalco]
