The public took this issue to social media to voice concerns over what seems to be discrimination on the basis of nationality as there remains an alleged wide-spread preference for foreign workers, as a trend that further exacerbates the existing gender gap in Saudi job market.

The five women turned to authorities to demand an investigation in the company's alleged breaking of several laws by pushing them to resign and discriminating against them and to be reinstated to their positions.
