The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing, China in April 2019. In the Joint Communique released after the Leaders' Roundtable, country leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and stressed that cooperation will be "open, green and clean". They also called on all market players in the Belt and Road cooperation to fulfill their corporate social responsibility and follow the principles of UN Global Compact.
