Stop big brands contracting Mitie for their services

Women for Refugee Women and the End Detention group, our lived experience group of women with experience of immigration detention, are taking action for Refugee Week 2023 and beyond.

To mark Refugee Week 2023, we are launching this brand new toolkit to encourage people like you to take action against Mitie and their involvement in running immigration detention centres in the UK, including Derwentside (the main detention centre for women in the UK).

Many well known brands use Mitie for their services, for example security or cleaning and so are inadvertently causing great harm to women seeking safety.

We’re asking you to contact these brands, such as Sainsbury’s, Ikea and Bravissimo to urge them to stop working with Mitie.
