The heads of China's largest internet companies have vowed to stop the spread of so-called harmful information. They made the promise after attending a three-day workshop organised by the government in Beijing. Nearly 40 companies - including e-commerce giant Alibaba and search engine Baidu - say they will "curb internet rumours".
