On August 18 2016, , Luciano Ferreira de Andrade was shot dead as he was coming out of a bank in the city center of Mirante da Serra, Rondônia, Brazil. He lost his life on the crime site. Luciano, 41 years old, was a member of Grupo Gedeão and was leading the occupation of lands in the region of Vale do Jamari, municipality of Ariquemes, state of Rondônia, on Fluminense farm, in Monte Negro, together with several families.
