Age-discrimination complaint filed against drug company [USA]

The Philadelphia Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed an age discrimination complaint against AmerisourceBergen...The complaint alleges AmerisourceBergen...did not hire Robert Aellis, 60, for a vacant telecommunications manager position because of his age. AmerisourceBergen issued a statement in response to the complaint in which the company said, “[W]e are disappointed that the EEOC has filed a complaint on behalf of an individual who was one of a large number of applicants for an open position within our company. AmerisourceBergen is committed to equal employment opportunity, and we actively cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment for our current and potential employees.”
