The UN Global Compact, UNICEF, UNESCO and the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education have developed a draft business engagement framework intended to provide guidance to the private sector on how to advance global education goals, including the Global Education First Initiative, in order to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. The framework and subsequent web platform...[are] action-oriented and practical...[They aim] to mobilize additional funding for education through high-level advocacy and raise the profile of education on the global agenda. The draft framework is now online for public consultation and commenting through 15 August 2013.
