Carlsberg Malawi's response

"Carlsberg Malawi's Response"

…Carlsberg Group has always treated and continue to treat environmental issues with the highest degree of importance. We are committed to working in cooperation with all stakeholders including government departments to ensure high levels of environmental protection where we own and operate our breweries.

Unfortunately, we believe the letter is based on some misunderstandings as the effluent from Carlsberg Malawi Ltd. is not being discharged by Carlsberg Malawi into the Mudi River as reported in the letter. It is going to the municipal sewage system. We hope that this elaboration helps in your understanding of the situation.
