...a textile firm owned by Hong Kong-listed company [Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited]...has been ordered to pay 11.55 million yuan (US$1.4 million) for illicit discharge of excess waste water over the past two years...Fountain Set includes adidas, Tesco, JC Penney, J. Crew, Liz Claiborne, Next, Levi’s, Nautica [part of VF Corp], Eddie Bauer and others among its customers.

Hong Kong-listed company's textiles arm ordered to pay for sewage infraction

A textile firm [Dongguan Fuan Textiles Ltd., fully owned by Hong Kong-listed Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited], based in Dongguan in south China's Guangdong Province, has been ordered to pay 11.55 million yuan (1.4 million U.S. dollars) for illicit discharges of excess waste water over the past two years. This is believed to be the heaviest fine ever for illegal sewage release in the province...
