CSR still only discretionary for business [Australia & New Zealand]

New Zealand companies say corporate social responsibility is a priority but many feel they don't have the time or resources to invest in it, a joint Australasian review finds. According to the State of CSR in Australia and New Zealand Review, 35 per cent of New Zealand respondents said time was the biggest barrier to increasing CSR initiatives. In Australia the rate was just 13 per cent. "In a resource-scarce environment, CSR remains a more discretionary activity," the review said. (refers to Warehouse)
