‘Dangote, UBA Donates $4m To Fight Ebola In Africa’, 12 Nov 2014:  The Dangote Foundation and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) have donated $3 million and $1 million respectively to a fund established by African business leaders...to contain the dreaded Ebola virus in West Africa...[T]he AU Ebola Fund was set up in response to the African Union[‘s]...call for $30 million from Africa’s private sector to support the efforts of the AU in containing the Ebola outbreak in West Africa...UBA’s...Mr Tony O. Elumelu, said...“...Africans need to place themselves at the forefront of the campaign to overcome this tragedy...Our hope is that this donation will act as a catalyst for other African corporate[s]...to play their part,”...Aliko Dangote...encouraged more business leaders...to contribute, saying: “...There must be no let-up in urgently matching solidarity and moral support with faster and more strategic actions...”...The fund...will be...administered by the African Development Bank (ADB)...
