For the purposes of this submission we focus…on the overseas activities of UK-based transport multinational National Express Group…Our experience of this company, especially in North America, provides a picture of a business that continually practices union avoidance and consistently violates the human rights of its employees by every means possible…After entering the United States school bus and transit market in 1998 it had became clear from 2001 reports…that National Express Corporation’s subsidiary Durham School Services was blocking workers’ rights to unionize…[also refers to FirstGroup]
