Ex-Post worker will get $75K to settle lawsuit [USA]

The Denver Newspaper Agency [joint venture E.W. Scripps, MediaNews Group] has agreed to pay $75,000 to settle a discrimination lawsuit involving an employee [Karen Stenvall] fired when she was six months pregnant. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission [EEOC] announced the settlement agreement Monday… DNA is the company that oversees publication of The Denver Post... "This termination did not make sense," Mary Jo O'Neill, regional attorney for the EEOC, said... "…The only thing that had changed was that she was pregnant."
