Firms urged to join air pollution battle [Hong Kong]

Faced with worsening air quality in the [Hong Kong] SAR...A total of 206 organizations and companies, including power firms Hong Kong Electric and CLP Power...have signed the Clear Air Charter...The charter has also found support across the border, notably from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Guangdong Association of Environmental Protection Industry…A key commitment of the charter is to publish annual figures on energy and fuel consumption along with total emissions of air pollutants…The charter is part of…a business sector initiative launched by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Business Coalition on the Environment.
