Green credentials under scrutiny [UK]

According to some estimates, construction and commercial property are together responsible for about half of all emissions. Companies often harm the environment when they build developments, shifting raw materials across the country and expending energy on construction. They are guilty again by often providing offices, homes and shops that are not as energy- efficient as they could be. The situation looks set to change. This is not only from government intervention, of which there will be a great deal...Change will alsocome within the private sector, oluntarily, whether by altruism, peer pressure or sheer self-interest.
