Haiti: Farmers reach agreement with Inter-American Development Bank to address harm caused by Caracol Industrial Park

On 8 December 2018, Haitian farmers and their families, their government and the Inter-American Development Bank reached an agreement concerning the taking of their farmland for the Caracol Industrial Park in 2011. The agreement provides for remedial support (land, employment opportunities, agricultural equipment and training, and support for micro-enterprise focused on women and the most vulnerable members of the community).
