IUCN [International Union for Conservation of Nature] has received a Gold Facilitation Impact Award from the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) for leading a multi-stakeholder process to launch the now independent Aluminium Stewardship Initiative's first Performance Standard...The project brought together leaders from the aluminium industry and NGOs to create a new comprehensive standard that aims to improve the sector’s environmental, social and governance performance throughout its entire value chain...The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard...focuses on eleven key issues: business integrity, policy and management, transparency, material stewardship, greenhouse gas emissions, effluents and waste, water, biodiversity, human rights, labour rights, and occupational health and safety...[Refers to Audi (part of Volkswagen), Norsk Hydro (now part of Statoil), Nestlé, Rio Tinto Alcan (part of Rio Tinto)]
