Campaigns Officer at the World Development Movement

Would you like to be the lead campaigner on one of the most exciting global justice issues of 2014?  We need a campaigner to help us defeat a trade deal which spells disaster for our public services, our environment and our democracy.

WDM is an activist-led organisation campaigning against global poverty, inequality and injustice.  We run uncompromising campaigns to create a world where resources are in the hands of the many rather than the few.

We are currently working on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership – or TTIP.  TTIP will give unprecedented power to big business over our society.  We want to stop it.  We are looking for a strategic campaigner who can work with activists, trade unions, faith groups, decision-makers, and the media to highlight the threat posed by this agreement.  You will be involved in all aspects of the campaign – organising events and outreach, writing compelling articles and speaking around the country, producing materials, commissioning films, and much more...

We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic group but, as members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented at this level, we would encourage applications from members of these groups.

If you are interested in the post and believe you meet our requirements, we would really like to hear from you.

Contract: Fixed-term, one year
