...Azucarera La Grecia deeply regrets the events that led to the passing away of Ms. Iris Argentina Álvarez, as well as the irreparable damage the incident leaves behind. 

Currently we are still looking to contact the family of Ms. Iris Argentina Álvarez to convey our deepest condolences and offer our support in whatever they may need to overcome this difficult time. 

This tremendously unfortunate incident has left us all in shock, as there is, in general, confusion about the happenings and accounts surrounding it. 

As a company and as citizens, we are committed to the truth, respect of the Honduran law and justice, which is why one of our first measures involved an internal investigation supervised by an external expert. Likewise, we are closely following the Public Ministry’s investigation and collaborating with all the parties involved for it to move forward properly...
