天津滨海新区近万人上街示威游行 不满开建化工

天津滨海新区约万名市民,不满当地开建年产26万吨聚碳酸酯的化工厂…连续多晚于广场进行示威。香港东方日报 报导,虽然当局前日同意暂停施工,但不少民众要求当局直接取消,昨日再有逾千人于广场聚集…幸未触发冲突…

大港民众表示,该厂距离最近的住宅区仅1600米,因生产聚碳酸酯过程中或释放可致癌的双酚A,恐投产后造成严重污染,威胁大港近50万名居民健康。有民众表示,根据外国标准,同类厂房是方圆40公里之内不能住人。而过去同类项目在厦门、大连都曾因群众抗议而停工,质疑天津当局为经济利益牺牲民众健康。

报导指出,虽然经群众连日大规模示威后,当局前日发通告表示,愿意立即停止项目施工,并重新进行环境评估。不过,不少民众表示质疑…要求当局直接取消该项目。当地民众称,大港2009年被规画为滨海新区化工区后,愈来愈多化工厂林立,已造成严重污染,无法接受再增建一座剧毒化工厂。

涉事的聚碳酸酯化工厂,是由中国石化与沙特阿拉伯基础工业公司合作兴建,本月3日于大港进行奠基仪式…另据新浪微博报导,当地民众称中沙石化是全球独一无二的化工厂,每年生产26万吨含剧毒的化学品,一旦毒气洩漏方圆5公里人畜均亡。
