In light of this situation, we conducted a new survey on the relationship between the Uyghur forced labour and 41 companies, including 35 Japanese companies and six Chinese companies with operations in Japan...
The survey found that 30 Japanese companies and four Chinese companies with operations in Japan were involved in some way in the Uyghur forced labour issue. This represents 83% of the companies surveyed, suggesting that a very high proportion of Japan's markets and supply chains are contributing to the oppression of human rights, and there is no time to waste in taking measures.

Based on the results of this survey, we sent questionnaires to the 34 companies, asking for their responses. As a result, about half of them did not respond or only responded by stating their management policies, highlighting their low awareness of the problem and their lack of intention to face up to this serious issue, despite their declaration of their commitment to respecting human rights throughout their business, including their supply chains.
