Perrin is charged for allegedly inciting the second Luxleaks leak. A French journalist has been charged in Luxembourg after investigating tax-avoidance schemes. Edouard Perrin worked with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) on a project that accused Luxembourg of helping multinational companies avoid billions of euros in taxes - in a scandal that came to be known as LuxLeaks. Ever since, he has been calling for more protection for whistleblowers in Europe, fpr example, when he testified in an EU parliamentary probe on such fiscal practices.
