Right to Information Act (RTI) activist and lawyer Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife Nagamani were murdered on in Kalvacherla, India. The murder seems related to a land dispute the lawyer was working on. Rao had reportedly opposed the illegal construction of a religious temple on public land by a private company, authorised by local authorities.
