An emails leak has revealed that the Italian spy-ware company The Hacking Team has allegedly sold, or planned to sell, surveillance mechanisms to repressive regimes in countries under sanctions - including Ethiopia, Myanmar, Qatar, Russia, Sudan, and Syria. The Hacking Team said it always sold “strictly within the law”.
