"テレビ東京、人権尊重の取り組み7項目を公表 アンケート調査で「性被害」回答なし," 22 April 2025

[Unofficial description by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre]

In 2023, the TV Tokyo Group established the "TV TOKYO Group's human rights policy" and has been implementing "human rights due diligence" to prevent and address human rights violations, including those involving business partners.

In January this year, the group also disclosed the content of a survey conducted among 1,114 employees, reporting that there were no responses indicating "sexual misconduct."

The main initiatives are as follows:

  1. No reports of "sexual misconduct" found in a human rights and code of conduct survey
  2. Clarification of dining rules to thoroughly prevent harassment
  3. Holding five mandatory human rights seminars annually
  4. Conducting sustainability surveys, including human rights, with 70% of business partners
  5. Establishing "Supply Chain Guidelines" covering human rights, environmental protection, and legal compliance
  6. Adding human rights protection clauses to contracts with business partners
  7. Revising the "Program Production Guidelines" to strengthen consideration for human rights
