Jen Moore, a MiningWatch activist and John Doughterty, a cinematographer, were allegedly arbitrarily detained by plainclothes officers on 22 April after a public screening of the documentary "Flin Flon Flim Flam”, which focuses on Hudbay Minerals' worldwide mining operations. They were allegedly taken to the immigration office in Cuzco, and charged with not complying with their travel documents and "inciting townspeople ... against Canadian mining activity in Peru". Hudbay Mineral's response is available.
