After a hearing lasting more than seven hours, Judge Soledad Barrueto of the National High Court of Specialised Criminal Justice ordered 24 months of preventive detention against Jimmy Panduro and Jiner Panduro, Kukama villagers from the San Pedro native community in the Urarina district, allegedly linked to the "Los Crudos" case, which investigates the cutting and damaging of the Norperuano oil pipeline to direct cleaning contracts. According to the legal defence of the indigenous Kukamas, there is no reliable evidence to implicate them.
