On 10 September 2020, Laura Aguirre de Carcer et Thomas Guery, investigative journalists working for 'Envoyé Spécial', were attacked by a farmer and large landowner near Arles, France, while investigating the situation of posted workers in the agricultural sector and the indecent conditions they live in, which some describe as "modern slavery". The investigation is linked to the trial of three directors of interim agency Terra Fecundis, of which the farmer is reportedly the biggest client.
