On 17 May 2024, the Ruteng District Court in Indonesia underwent a consignment hearing requested by the company PT PLN (Persero) the Main Unit of East Nusa Tenggara Development (UIP) Nusra. The consignment hearing related to the case between the company and 5 Poco Leok Indigenous customary land rights defenders; Ignatius Nasat, Nicholas Panas, Yoseph Kapas, Mikael Gamal, and Karolus Maja. The case concerns the construction of a geothermal plant. The five indigenous people were summoned to the hearing the same day it was held, meaning it was impossible for them to go.

Gregorius B Djako, a Litigator at the Association of Indigenous Peoples Defenders of the Archipelago, said the actions of the Judge were unprofessional in handling this case.
