Movement Movimiento Aguas para la vida (members of the Comunidades de Santander) was protesting against displacement of their community for the purpose of a hydroelectric project construction. Their protests were dispersed by force and protesters reported being intimidated. Leader of the movement asked for and was afforded protection measures. Community was forcibly displaced despite three months of protests.
