Response from Zijin Mining to China Labor Watch's rejoinder

We express regret that China Labor Watch has merely reiterated its previous misleading conclusions in response to our proactive reply, which we continue to firmly oppose.

We view our employees as essential partners in value creation, and we are committed to protecting labor rights. Our company in Serbia fully complies with applicable labor laws and international standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work...To enhance transparency and accountability, we provide multiple channels for all workers and stakeholders to anonymously lodge complaints...We also require our suppliers and contractors to meet the same high standards...

Over the past two years, we have been working to enhance our human rights protection mechanisms and levels through collaboration with various stakeholders, including independent third-party audits we mentioned last time, and engaging in dialogues and cooperation with unions, as well as conducting employee satisfaction surveys...We recognize that the work to improve labor rights is an ongoing endeavor, and we are dedicated to making sustained progress in this area...

We appreciate the attention from all external stakeholders and hope that when they have concerns, they will communicate directly with us to verify, helping us continuously enhance our social performance...

Lastly, we would like to underscore once again that through investment and technological innovation, we have revitalized the century-old Bor Copper Mine in Serbia, which was on the brink of bankruptcy, creating 13,000 jobs. The average employee salary has increased by over 100% in the past six years, exceeding the national average wage by 49%....

Sincerely,

ESG Office

Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd.
