A group of people identified as alleged transporters attacked residents of Llano Laguna in the municipality of Santo Domingo Tepuxtepec Mixe, who were blocking work on the Oaxaca - Tehuantepec superhighway, with stones and bullets. The victims released videos and photographs of the aggression, for which they blamed the coordinator of Peace Delegates of the Government of Oaxaca, Donato Vargas Jiménez, and the construction company Carso, owned by businessman Carlos Slim.

Four people were arrested, Alejandro Pérez Martínez, mayor of the municipality; Juan Martínez, member of the Communal Goods; as well as Rodrigo and Evaristo Martínez. In addition, ten people were injured and had to be taken for medical attention.

The inhabitants of Llano Laguna decided in an assembly to block the works, arguing that neither the federal government nor the construction company Carso have complied with the execution of various works for the community, in exchange for the right of way through which the superhighway passes, which is Llano Laguna's land.
