Rosprirodnadzor specialists conducted inspection of JSC Gorevsky Mining & Processing Plant in Krasnoyarsky Krai, 16 May 2024
Specialists from the Yenisei branch of Rosprirodnadzor conducted a scheduled field inspection of Gorevsky Mining and Processing Plant in the Motyginsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The inspection was part of federal environmental and geological oversight for a Category I facility.
During the inspection, violations of environmental regulations were identified, including:
Submission of inaccurate data on air pollution sources,
Discharge of wastewater into the Angara River exceeding permissible levels of pollutants (BOD, copper, zinc, ammonium, lead, sulfate, manganese, nickel),
Improper adjustment of emissions inventory,
Operation of gas treatment systems in violation of maintenance rules,
Carrying out activities without state environmental approval for the technical project,
Waste disposal not in accordance with project plans,
Overburden dumps negatively affecting groundwater and soil,
Breach of subsoil use license requirements.
The company has been ordered to address the violations, and administrative action is being taken against those responsible under the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
