S. Korea: DL E&C construction sites linked to greatest number of fatal accidents after 9th worker death since 2022

... The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that a fatal accident occurred at the airport construction site ... on the 8th, killing a subcontracted worker, A (64). Mr. A lost his life when he was buried by soil that was pushed down from an excavator that was digging the ground.

DL E&C is the company with the highest number of fatal accidents since the implementation of the Serious Accident Punishment Act. On March 13, 2022, a worker was killed by a dislodged drum while laying electric wires... On April 6 of the same year, a worker was killed ... when an excavator pinned the worker between pillars, and on August 5, two people were killed ... when a broken boom pump stuck them ... Two months later, on October 20, a worker who was extending the boom of a crane... fell from the boom and died.

On July 4th last year, a worker was crushed to death ... when machinery collapsed on him while he was pulling a concrete pouring machine up. On August 3, a worker drowned while pumping water from an electrical room ... On August 11, a worker who was replacing windows ... fell to his death.
