Ángela Murillo Bardales is a Tolupán indigenous land and territory defender from Honduras. She and 8 others from the San Francisco Locomapa Tribe and the Dignity and Justice Movement have been accused prosecuted and accused of blocking the 'Forest Management Plan', which has been the basis for the logging company INMARE’s exploitation of forests and natural resources to exploit forests and natural resources in Tolupán territory. On 2nd October 2017, the Dignified Tolupán Camp in Defense of Forests and Territory was set up by the defenders in an attempt to avoid logging in Tolupán territory. This recent accusation form part of a strategy to criminalise the camp and attack its legitimacy.
