Lufkin Industries to pay out $3.4 million in discrimination suit [USA]

A federal judge has ordered Lufkin Industries to pay black workers owed wages of more than a $3.4 million plus back pay interest since the court handed down the decision in a 2005 racial discrimination suit against the company for unfair pay. "Lufkin Industries has been profiting for years from its policy of unlawful discrimination..." stated... U.S. District Court Judge Ron Clark... Lufkin Industries could not be reached for comment...
