There is growing momentum behind a national inquiry into sexual harassment in the workplace...numbers of complaints have doubled since 2015, thought to reflect both rising incidence and increased reporting of harassment...both the Human Rights Commission and the Government's justice under-secretary are signalling support for a national stocktake.

Businesses should be required to hand over data to gauge levels of sexual harassment in the workplace, says equal employment opportunities commissioner Jackie Blue. And, following Australia's lead, New Zealand should launch a national inquiry into sexual harassment...
