Nine Odia migrant labourers stranded in Dubai return to India

Nine of the ten migrant workers from Odisha, who were stranded in Dubai have been brought to New Delhi with the help of Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday.​..​ The action of the External Affairs ministry came after the labourers made an emotional plea to the authorities on social media to help them return home. In the video, the labourers alleged that they were tortured... their passports were confiscated by their employers and they were forced to work under extreme conditions for extra hours without any remuneration... The labourers will soon be sent to their native villages after certain legal formalities.
