The human rights impact of international trade was a recurrent theme during the 2003 [United Nations] Human Rights Commission. And the level of discussion reflected the willingness and ability of many in the human rights community and the trade policy world to seek mutually-beneficial solutions when trade liberalization risks adversely impacting on human rights.
