[PDF] Civil society participation in the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers’ Association (ICoCA)

The Articles of Association serve as the founding document for an independent governance and oversight mechanism for the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC). This Association will be based in Geneva and constituted as a non-profit association under Swiss law. It is expected to start operations in September 2013. The overarching purpose of this Association is to promote the responsible provision of private security services and respect for human rights and national and international law by exercising independent governance and oversight of the ICoC. It will do this through certification, human-rights-oriented field monitoring, and a complaints procedure....Civil society organizations will be able to participate as Members of the Association, or as non-voting Observers.
