The present report has been prepared pursuant to General Assembly resolution 67/98, by which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to prepare a report on the basis of information and observations received from Member States and relevant observers, as appropriate, on the scope and application of universal jurisdiction, including, where appropriate, information on the relevant applicable international treaties, their domestic legal rules and judicial practice...Section III provides information received from observers, and section IV contains a synopsis of issues raised by Governments for possible discussion. Responses were received from Australia, Colombia, Cuba, Greece, Hungary, Lebanon, Moldova, Panama and Spain. Responses were also received from the African Union, the Council of Europe and the International Committee of the Red Cross...
