[The Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI) are pleased to announce the launch of our 'State of Play' Report on Human Rights in Business Relationships. Over the past year IHRB and GBI have examined the human rights practices of 14 global companies in relation to the corporate responsibility to respect in six types of business relationships: Joint Ventures; Mergers, Acquisitions & Disposals; Suppliers & Service Providers; Direct Customers; Licensing & Franchising; Investor-State Agreements. The joint initiative follows on from IHRB's 2010 'State of Play' Report of Human Rights Due Diligence.
