Suncor worker dies in work site accident

Suncor Energy has confirmed the death of an employee after he was injured Sunday morning at a site near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. The company has released the name of the victim. Emergency crews were contacted at 11:30 a.m., after the male employee was severely injured. The man was rushed to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre where he was pronounced dead. Mark Little, executive vice president of Suncor Upstream said, “This is devastating news and a tragic loss for family, friends and co-workers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to loved ones during this extremely difficult time.” Suncor says it is working with the “appropriate authorities.” as it investigates the accident and cause of death.
