On 7 March 2024, a 22-year-old activist known as "Ricky Bobby" spent nearly 36 hours inside the Mountain Valley Pipeline in Virginia, halting construction on a section of the pipeline for two days. She exited the pipeline on Friday, 8 March in the afternoon. She was charged with four misdemeanors and released on a $3,500 bail.

The Mountain Valley Pipeline is a gas pipeline spanning approximately 300 miles (480km) from northwestern West Virginia into southern Virginia in the United States. Environmental advocates have spent a decade fighting the construction of the pipeline, which started in 2018. The pipeline became operational on June 14, 2024.
