Bottler to pay $1M for river pollution [USA]

The 7-Up/RC Bottling Co. in California [part of Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group, jointly owned by Cadbury Schweppes and The Carlyle Group] will pay more than $1 million for wastewater discharge into the Los Angeles and San Gabriel rivers...The company pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles to 12 criminal counts of violating the act [Clean Water Act].
