Human rights lawyer João Nhampossa, active member of the an active member of the RMDDH, fights for the rights of communities affected by the extractive industry and other mega-projects. He has received a series of threats before unknown individuals broke into his office.

The lawyer was previously on one of the television channels to comment on the process of sale of mining company Vale Moçambique and worked on various issues of public interest and human rights, such as hidden public debt, as well as on the extractive industry and illegal tolls installed on the Maputo ring road.
