Crédit Agricole response to alleged human rights violations at TotalEnergies’ Mozambique LNG project

Dear Amelie,

We have received your letter inviting Crédit Agricole to respond to an open letter by civil society organisations, calling on 31 financial institutions, including Crédit Agricole, to withdraw financial support for TotalEnergies’ Mozambique LNG project.

As you will see in the document attached, we replied to this letter on January 17th. Indeed, regarding the Mozambique LNG project, our policy has been to maintain a continuous dialogue with members of civil society.

We are closely monitoring the situation around this project whose financing is still suspended.

Kind regards,

The Sustainability and Impact Department
