EU Due Diligence Navigator launched to promote information on CSDDD and related support options

'EU Due Diligence Navigator for Partner Countries'

The Navigator is a dedicated service that supports stakeholders in EU partner countries to find information and support on the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) that will apply from July 2029 onwards. Under this framework, large companies active on the EU market will need to closely examine how their goods are sourced and produced to identify and address potential adverse human rights and environmental impacts in their operations...

The Navigator supports stakeholders in making the most of these opportunities. It provides clear, easy-to-understand information on EU due diligence legislation, in particular the CSDDD, and what this legislation may mean for stakeholders outside the EU. It also offers a curated overview of a wide range of support available from the European Commission, EU Member States and other organisations, including:

  • Information and guidance on due diligence
  • Tools, e.g. for risk assessment and reporting
  • Support for (international) policy dialogue
  • Multi-stakeholder collaboration
  • Capacity building, including training and advice
  • Impact investment and financing, e.g. loan and grant schemes
  • Support for legislative and regulatory developments
  • Promotion of transparency and advocacy

The Navigator is designed to identify the most relevant information and tools given the context of the user, helping stakeholders worldwide turn EU legislation into opportunities — by strengthening competitiveness, improving working conditions, protecting the environment, and supporting fair and resilient global value chains.

You can use the Navigator in two ways:

  • Find measures on  the webpage: Access information on the CSDDD legislation, and explore our searchable database of available support options.
  • Contact us: If you cannot find what you are looking for, a team of experts can help you find the information, support, or training you need...

The Navigator is part of the Team Europe Initiative on Sustainability in Global Value Chains...

On behalf of the European Commission (DG INTPA) and the BMZ, the Navigator is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
