We, as business community, should recognize that this case poses fundamental and serious challenges to human rights, especially to the compliance and governance system to protect minors from sexual assault. Companies that have been directly or indirectly involved in sexual abuse of minors are now being asked what actions they should take.

Against this background, this "Governance Code Regarding Sexual Assault Against Minors" ...has been developed referring to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (2011) and the UNGPs 10+ Roadmap for the next decade (2021)...
